The Resolver One Window Layout

The Resolver One window can be resized. The size of each pane relative to others in the window can be changed by clicking and dragging the separating lines.

Menu bar

The menu bar at the top of the Resolver One window has the following menus:

• File: Create, open, import, export, save and print a worksheet.
• Edit: Undo and redo commands; insert or delete rows or columns; copy, paste, clear or delete selected cells; and add comments (descriptive help "bubbles") to cells.
• View: Select whether cells are displayed with their normal colors, colored by the type of value they contain, or colored by whether they contain a constant or a formula.
• Format: Format numbers and fonts; add borders; and set cell colors.
• Data: Start and stop calculations; name cells and ranges; make cells editable when a sheet is served up by the Resolver Web Server; set up cell ranges for Cell validation; pack or unpack arrays and other container types into cells.
• Worksheet: Insert, remove and rename worksheets, including Database Worksheets; show and hid grid lines and data boundaries; set columns and rows as headers; edit a single formula that will be used for the whole worksheet.
• Help: Open locally installed documentation; visit the Resolver One Forums; display details about the current version; and check for new versions to download.

Toolbar

The tool bar contains a row of shortcut buttons for common tasks, plus a text field for searching the grid.

Formula bar

The formula bar is where familiar spreadsheet formulae can be entered.

Grid

The spreadsheet grid occupies the main body of the window and works as expected. To alternate between different worksheets in a workbook, click on the appropriate worksheet tab at the base of the grid.

Coding pane

The coding pane is the place to enter user code. You can make the coding pane move to the right-hand side of the window (which is useful if you have two monitors) by double-clicking the line between it and the worksheet tabs immediately above.
