Thomson Integration
This topic covers how to use Resolver One with Thomson's data feeds.
Access to this feature is only enabled if you have purchased the optional Financial Data Feeds add-on for Resolver One. Resolver Systems Ltd and Thomson are not connected in any way; we simply provide a program that can act as a client for their data services.
Before you begin
In order to use Resolver One with Thomson's data feeds, you will need a subscription to Thomson.
(This subscription tends to be extremely costly, and is rarely used outside financial firms. If you do not know whether you have a subscription, then you probably don't.)
Installation
Close Resolver One.
Install the Thomson Dataworks Client package (contact Thomson if you do not have this.)
Restart Resolver One.
The Resolver One Thomson functions are enabled.
Using the Resolver One Thomson functions
Users of Thomson in Microsoft Excel will be familiar with the Resolver One functionality.
THM function
The THM function retrieves realtime data from Thomson and displays it in the Resolver One grid. The data "ticks", that is, as updates come in from Thomson, the spreadsheet is recalculated to show the changes. See the full API documentation for more details.
Comments
If you have comments, questions or suggestions about any of the Resolver One documentation, please post them to the Documentation Suggestions Forum.
